Queen of Love and Beauty

My brain is scattered right now. I tried to get invitations for the shower earlier this week at Near and Far but found out that they did not carry any this year – last year, yes; this year, no. Hopefully Hallmark will have something cute.

All the wedding stuff, along with the holidays, has me distracted.

Time for lunch.

phone pic

Matt has my picture on his phone. I am thinking that is cool.

girly party

Just added a PayPal button for the bachelorette party that I am planning for my sister, even though she is making me wear mauve at the wedding (yuck). If you know her and want to help in sending her out with a BANG then feel free to give to the cause. All proceeds will go to the party – regardless of however much there is. I have also added this for the benefit of those that are on the guest list – we are doing all the work; all we ask is for a contribution and the pleasure of your company. I am not giving out details until later as I want this to be a suprise.

Also, if you are a friend of Stacy’s or know her, and think that you might enjoy our little bit of mayhem, email me about coming. Girls only please! Girl night – NO BOYS ALLOWED!

UPDATE: There is going to be a prize for the person who contributes the most… regardless of who they are or where they live. It will be in the spirit of the party as well as computer geekiness. That is what you get when you get a computer geek to do something.

I recently received an email with the following comment:

Most people who listen to NPR are overly pretentious. Just my observation. Anyone who can put up with Diane Raign has got to be. I know I am going to get some emails about that remark…

Before anything else, is is spelled Rehm.

I am not going to identify this person (who in their right mind would take credit for a statement like this since the reverse bashing is soooooo easy) but I would like to say one thing – I listen to NPR.

One more thought… maybe…. just maybe if the person who wrote this email listened to NPR or tried in other ways to expand their train of thought beyond the miniscule circle they are in, this email would have never been wrtten in the first place.

But then again, if it wasn’t painfully obvious that said person was trying to push her own interests of a new business venture on a long list of others (a business that will probably crash and burn since I doubt the proper contacts are there) I don’t know what is.

if I tell you I will die

If I were to go into the details that led to this post I think Stacy just might kill me. To avoid such a painful death I am just going to put this up and leave out the juice.

Right click and “Save Target as…” on this link. This is a commercial from SNL. Women will appreciate this one the most.

UPDATE: This may require the DivX codec.

UPDATE: Click here to get said codec.

thoughts and revelations

You know the saying about putting two and two together? You know how sometimes an event that is post another event can trigger thoughts that will make you put two and two together? I had one of those today.

There is no need to mention the details, and I am better off not mentioning those or the names that go with them. They don’t need the annonimity; I am just in a good mood. I am just happy to have the further self-claification that typically comes with time. Not to mention, give them enough rope and they will hang themselves.
